Throughout 2020 Hitu is conducting interviews with leaders across the globe. The COVID-19 Leadership Series is about understanding the impact of the pandemic on businesses and leaders. The Series is aimed to help identify best practices that can be utilized by managers and new leaders to navigate through these unprecedented times.
This is the full interview with Michelle Mouton, Director, Program Quality and Development at Durham College. In her current role, Michelle is responsible for the development and ongoing success of numerous in class and online learning programmes and courses which encompasses a full range from the initial development phase into management of ongoing teacher and program quality. Her work stems from her experience as a teacher and program administrator with a deep interest in online and technology-assisted learning which has been the focus of her experience for the past ten years. While she has managed multiple teams, Michelle views her leadership strengths through the lens of thought leadership. Through thought leadership, she is able to guide and inspire within the post-secondary educational landscape, and these transformative results are the most satisfying to her. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys time with her family and can often been found painting in her art studio on the weekends.
